It appeared under its first name until 1998 and received the current name (Mathematical Reports) in 1999. It is now published in one volume a year, consisting of 4 issues with a total average number of pages yearly of 400. The Editors will put strong emphasis on originality and applicability of the results rather than formal correctness. All manuscripts are critically refereed and only papers of high quality are accepted for publication.
