Applied Bioinformatics is a resource for professional bioinformaticists, providing readers with topical reviews of computational and methodological developments. In addition, the journal contains original research articles on all areas of bioinformatics, with a focus on microarray analysis, databases and datamining, protein structure prediction and genomics. Applied Bioinformatics features articles that provide the practising bioinformaticist with information relating to global and regional bioinformatics resources, and a future view of this developing field. In this respect, we endeavour to keep our readers updated on various computational and experimental standards and practices that emerge.
