Rivista Trimestrale di Diritto e Procedura Civile
Founded in 1947, this journal has unfailingly given voice to its original inspiration, that of bringing together the most lively forces of Italian juridical culture, promoting renewal while respecting scientific tradition. Whatever degree of success it may have achieved in its purpose is largely due to its editorial approach and first and foremost to its guiding conception of the jurist's role, including those social aspects which bring him face to face with ever-changing themes and fresh problems, free of any limit or imposition. The continual expansion of the journal's field of interest in the direction of legal work of a nature other than strictly private does in fact reflect the evolution undergone by Italian law in the recent post-war period and, especially, the removal of long-standing divisions to which the existence of separate " genres" of juridical culture has been and still is, to some extent, due. Partly as a response to the needs of legal practice, the journal has now instituted a more or less permanent feature entitled " A Year of Verdicts ", something without precedent in Italian periodicals of this kind; this feature aims to offer a critical evaluation and systematic review of evolution in the most complex and important branches of present-day legal experience.
