For more than 60 years, AALAS has delivered the information animal science professionals need to excel in their positions. As the voice of the profession, AALAS is the undisputed leader in providing tips, trends, strategies, and a full array of resources designed specifically for its more than 13,000 members. Building on that tradition, AALAS also delivers information through the engaging format of Laboratory Animal Science Professional, a quarterly magazine filled with reliable, practical information, including the latest developments and strategies in laboratory animal science, such as management, professional development, occupational health and safety, facility design, technologies, and much more. While the market was rife with multiple animal science publications, none fully met the information needs of today’s animal science professionals. In research commissioned by AALAS, 9 out of 10 members supported the creation of a new, lively, inviting magazine that would address their targeted needs for case studies and examples, practical strategies for veterans and newcomers to the field, and tips, tactics, and techniques for laboratory care professionals. The magazine is published four times a year: March, June, September, and December.
