International Journal of Health Policy and Management (IJHPM) is an open access, peer-reviewed journal which serves as an international and interdisciplinary forum for the dissemination of health policy and management research by directing attention to major issues in different arenas. It brings together individual specialties from different fields, notably epidemiology; health management, policy, economics, and information systems; social and public policy; and philosophy into a dynamic academic mix. The validity, importance and originality of each paper make a great contribution to the coverage of each field. IJHPM is intended to enhance communication among health system researchers, policy and decision makers, legislators, practitioners, educators, administrators, students, and other types of allied health professionals in the research and healthcare delivery systems. It aims to maintain a balance between theory and practice, from a variety of disciplines, fields and perspectives.
