Accordingly, the journal has to take into deep consideration the most recent developments in the Biomaterial research field, that is the design of "Functional Materials" finely tuned for new high-impact applications in Biomedicine. In this scenario, the new name, combined with the recognized “applicative” focus, will strengthen its positioning as a major discussion tool among all the different research areas involved in the Biomaterials field.
