The International Journal of Medical Students (IJMS) is a peer-reviewed open-access scientific journal, created to share the scientific production and experiences of medical students worldwide. Our objective is to be the primary diffusion organ for medical students, using standards that accredit the process of scientific publication. In addition, the IJMS promotes empowerment of medical students on research and publication topics by different strategies. As authors, students receive feedback to enhance their manuscripts by our editors and increase their opportunity for publication. And highly motivated medical students who are starting their careers as investigators can participate directly in the journal as Editors or Ambassadors, learning critical skills such as manuscript revision, editorial process and promotion of research among students worldwide.
