Ornis Hungarica is a periodical published by BirdLife Hungary (Hungarian Ornithological and Nature Conservation Society). Currently the journal is planned to have 2 issues per year. The journal publishes reviews, original research articles, short communications. Manuscripts on all fields of ornithology are considered for publication. The journal publishes results from studies related to the animal-kingdom, which present results, that are significant contributions to the ecology, behaviour, biogeography or conservation of birds. The geographical emphasis of Ornis Hungarica is on Hungary, East- and Central-Europe but papers from other regions, which command broader interest, are also welcome. The journal publishes papers in English, but the summaries and the legends of figures and tables are both in English and Hungarian. In the case of authors, whose mother tongue is not Hungarian, the translations will be prepared by the editors.
