The mission of the Journal is to contribute to the study - at theoretical and analytical level and documentation - on many different issues concerning the life of and in the European Union, with special emphasis on the politico-institutional, legal, socio-economic and cultural-historical aspects of the process of European integration, without losing sight of the context of global scenarios. To this effect the Journal will purport to be an instrument of knowledge, reflection, discussion and information, for the advancement of the European integration process, under the banner of European citizenship as his main source of inspiration and basis of legitimacy. The Journal is divided into a general part of essays, accompanied by a series of fixed sections: Archive, dedicated to figures, events and/or documents relevant in the history of European integration; Glossary, dedicated to the illustration of technical terms or commonly used in the lexicon of the Union; Dossier, dedicated to a comment of official records of particular importance (regulatory, judicial, political, diplomatic or otherwise). In addition, the European Observatorywill offer, from time to time, surveys on experiences concerning EU countries.
