Vulnerable Groups & Inclusion

ISSN: 2000-8023.

Vulnerable Groups & Inclusion is an international peer reviewed Open Access journal that addresses research on risk groups and marginalization. In response to the late modern interest in understanding and explaining risk evaluation among people, Vulnerable Groups & Inclusion aims to increase and collate scientific knowledge regarding the processes behind the inclusion of people who are either at risk of becoming marginalized or who are already marginalized (e.g. due to health, in working life, socially, as citizens, in public life, etc.). Recognizing that marginalization can be based on different factors or an interplay among factors - such as in the case of social inequalities in health, disability or illness, with gender, age and ethnicity - investigations into the empirical challenges found among marginalized groups with respect to their participation in working life and society in general are also relevant in this context. Publishing in the journal is free of charge for 2011 thanks to generous grants from The Swedish Council for Working Life and Social Research, Mid Sweden University and North Trondelag University College.
