The Science Journal of Volgograd State University. History. Area Studies. International relations is aimed at the enrichment of scholarship and the promotion of academic work in the fields of history, political science and international relations. The journal creates and maintains an academic forum, thus preserving and developing the community of historians, political scientists and international relations specialists from Volga region, the South of Russia, Russia as a whole and from all over the world. The journal welcomes prominent scholars, as well as young researchers who take their first steps on the path of research to submit the results of their academic achievements. Traditionally, articles on history, political science and international relations of the countries of Caucasus, Central Asia, North America and Europe are widely represented in the journal, as well as papers on Russian history of the 17th-21st centuries, security problems in national and foreign policy of Russia, regional history and political issues of the South of Russia and Lower Volga region.
