Diritti umani e diritto internazionale was established in 2007 by a number of Italian and foreign international law scholars. It aims at investigating international protection of human rights, particularly from the legal point of view, albeit with an interdisciplinary perspective. The editorial project was motivated by the centrality of human rights issues in the international legal system; the ever growing interaction between the international and the domestic legal dimension of the protection of human rights; the width and relevance of the scientific debate on the issue of human rights. Diritti umani e diritto internazionale has helped to fill a gap in the Italian legal literature, so as to keep the pace with similar experiences in Europe. The high quality of the Journal is testified by the Board of Editors and the Scientific Council. These are composed by Italian and foreign experts, of recognized competence, as well as by members, or former members, of high National and International Judicial Bodies.
