Sociétés et jeunesses en difficulté s’intéresse aux enfants et aux jeunes dits « en difficulté » sociale ou familiale, à l’adresse desquels les sociétés mettent en place des dispositifs de protection et d’éducation – voire de soins – spécifiques. La revue présente des articles relatifs à ces populations, à leur catégorisation, aux problèmes sociaux et/ou psychologiques auxquels elles sont réputées être confrontées. Elle traite également des pratiques professionnelles, des dispositifs institutionnels et des politiques publiques s’adressant à ces populations, à leur famille, à leur environnement. Sociétés et jeunesses en difficulté focuses on children and young people “with difficulties”, whether social or family related, and who are the subject of specific education, protection or care programs. The publication studies this cross-section of the population, the ways in which they are categorised and the social and/or psychological problems with which they are purportedly confronted. It is also deals with the professional practices and institutional strategies for coping with young people in difficulty, their families and environments.
