The Journal of Social Intervention: Theory and Practice is an academic journal that aims to make available academic research and reflections on practice in social intervention to a readership of academics, social scientists and professionals. The journal focuses on the interface between policy, the development of methodology and professional practice. The subjects featured in the journal are not restricted to any specific domain since the journal covers the whole gamut of social work related subjects. This includes social education, local social policy, the care sector and organizational development. The target readership of the journal includes teachers in higher vocational and university education, academics and social scientists from a range of disciplines, practising social workers and policy officials involved in solving social issues as part of their work.
