The journal of the German Geological Society DGG presents itself in a new functional layout starting with volume 156 (2005). Zeitschrift der Deutschen Gesellschaft für Geowissenschaften publishes four issues (one volume) per annum. The journal invites the submission of English, German and French language papers from all fields of geology, hydrogeology, paleontology, tectonics, sedimentology, engineering geology and of course environmental geology to name a few. ZdGG also invites suggestions for thematic issues. All submissions are peer reviewed. We suggest to submit papers of regional importance significant for Germany in German language. Articles of more than regional and international relevance should be submitted as English or where sensible, French language manuscripts.
