Nova Croatica: Magazine for Croatian Language, Literature and Culture
Nova Croatica is the successor of the magazine Croatica which was the scientific magazine for Croatian literature, initiated 1970 on the incentive of Professor Ivo Frangeš under the project of the history of the Croatian literature of the former Institute of literature at the Faculty of humanities and social sciences of the University of Zagreb. Croatica was published by the Hrvatsko filološko društvo (Croatian philological society) from 1983 to 2000 and after the six year break it was renewed 2007 on the incentive of Professor Vinko Brešić (editor in chief) and Professor Cvjetko Milanja. Today with name Nova Croatica (New Croatica) it represents a magazine for Croatian language, literature and culture of the Department of Croatian language and literature at the Faculty of humanities and social sciences of the University of Zagreb. Except of a name, new issue uses redesigned original cover from old Croatica with an initial from Pavao Ritter Vitezović’s work Croatia rediviva. From first renewed issue, magazine is parallel published in print and electronic edition (electronic edition administrated by Mario Kolar).
