The Australian Medical Student Journal (AMSJ) is the national peer-reviewed biomedical journal for students. It accepts submissions from Australian medical students, as well as from students studying medicine-related disciplines. It is staffed entirely by medical students from around the country. The AMSJ strives for the academic rigour and quality of a major academic journal, but publishes content that will be of particular appeal to a medical student readership. Peer-review is conducted by two groups of people: academics associated with Australian medical schools; and clinicians at Australian teaching hospitals.
