International Journal for the Applied Study of Public Order

ISSN: 1744-8212.

The International Journal for the Applied Study of Public Order is an interdisciplinary venture concerned with the identification, analysis and regulation of risks to public order. Public order is considered to be synonymous with social, economic and political stability, confidence in institutions and public safety. Appropriate areas of study include government, economic and legal/regulatory systems at local, regional and national levels, as well as technological systems. Contemporary risks to such systems include population growth, environmental degradation, local, regional, national and international political instability, crime and terrorism and technological advancement (including the development and propagation of high-impact, difficult-to-regulate technologies such as nuclear power/weapons). The Editors are keen to publish papers both of theoretical interest and practical use to practitioner communities (including politicians, civil servants, emergency responders, the judiciary, regulators and national and international business and industrial communities).
