Journal of Experimental & Clinical Assisted Reproduction (JECAR) is an Open Access, peer-reviewed, online journal that considers research into reproductive endocrinology, infertility, bioethics and the advanced reproductive technologies. The field exists as a sub-specialty of obstetrics & gynecology, focused on diagnosis and treatment of complex human reproductive problems. The field is relatively new, and its continued growth depends on quality research undertaken both by proven scientists as well as junior investigators who share in the task of making contributions to this area of medical and surgical practice. JECAR aims to report on important developments impacting the field of human reproductive medicine and surgery. The journal exists to offer rapid peer-review for research in the dynamic field of the advanced reproductive technologies. Importantly, such reports will be freely available to a global audience in a full-text format to facilitate comprehensive sharing of investigative insights, laboratory methods, and surgical techniques. No other journal presently has these objectives.
