Journal of Atmospheric and Ocean Science, has become a forum for exciting research and stimulating new ideas related to understanding the atmosphere-ocean system and climate change. To reflect the current interdisciplinary approach of atmospheric and oceanographic scientists the scope of the journal is broad. It presents articles, experimental as well as theoretical in nature, that cover the diverse issues confronted by scientists seeking to understand the ocean, the atmosphere and their interactions on all space and time scales. The journal provides a forum for discussion of the complexities involved in developing coupled numerical models. The assimilation of global observations derived from satellite remote sensing into such models is also an important area of interest. The ultimate concern of this journal is the implication of atmosphere-ocean interactions, or any aspect of the dynamics or physics of either fluid, for the Earth's weather, climate and climatic stability.
