Toronto Slavic Quarterly
Toronto Slav Q

ISSN: 1708-3885.

Welcome to the first academic electronic journal in Slavic studies, Toronto Slavic Quarterly. TSQ is produced by a group of colleagues from the Department of Slavic Languages and Literatures, University of Toronto. The aim of this Internet journal is to create a resource for Slavists- primarily those concerned with literature and culture-that will reflect the range of contemporary scholarship in areas of interest to them and, taking advantage of the speed and convenience of the Internet, inform readers about academic resources and current events in the scholarly world. Toronto Slavic Quarterly will publish prose, poetry, essays and criticism; articles on current issues in literary and academic life; and bibliographical surveys of new books and journals in the Slavic world. Readers of TSQ will also find articles on the history of Slavic literatures; documents from Slavic and Western archives, including literary works, memoirs, and correspondence of important cultural figures. Of particular importance will be the "Discussion" section that will take the form of a round table in which leading specialists will discuss a broad range of issues in contemporary Slavic studies. The "Associated Projects" section will include sites of individuals or groups involved in projects of interest to readers. We hope that TSQ will serve the interests of scholars in language, literature and history; undergraduate and graduate students; librarians; publishers; and anyone concerned with Slavic studies in literature and culture.
