Coverage includes all main branches of materials science, such as metallic materials, inorganic non-metallic materials, polymer materials, biomaterials, nano-materials, and materials processing, modeling and characterization. Highlights of emerging topics are especially welcome in the following fields: materials science and device issues for future Si-based technology, nano-materials, biomimetic materials, materials for hydrogen and fuel cell technology, functional materials, protective coatings and thin films, innovation in techniques and instrumentation in materials property characterization, and shape memory materials for smart systems.
