CESifo Forum is a quarterly economic journal published by the Ifo Institute for the academic and business communities. It replaces the Ifo Digest, which was published from 1979 to 1999. CESifo Forum is a non-partisan journal with a truly European perspective. It reflects the scope of activities undertaken by CES and Ifo, from scholarly academic research to up-to-date business data. The journal contains short and incisive articles on economic problems written by academics and politicians from various countries. In the "Focus" section a common topic is addressed by various authors, and in "Pro and Contra" two experts' opposing views on a contested issue are presented. The sections "Spotlights" and "DICE Reports" highlight topical economic developments with short statements built around graphical illustrations and tables. DICE is Ifo's Database of Institutional Comparisons in Europe. Finally, the section "Trends" supplies time series on economic developments in Europe, including the latest results of the quarterly Ifo World Economic Survey (WES), a poll of transnational as well as national organisations conducted by the Ifo Institute in about 90 countries.
