Hermann-Hesse-Jahrbuch

The first Hermann-Hesse-Jahrbuch was published in 2002, two years after the International Hermann-Hesse Society had been founded in order to commemorate the 125th birthday of the author (Nobel Prize for Literature in 1946). The yearbook strives to highlight ways of approaching the phenomenon of worldwide, transcultural fascination with Hermann Hesse (1877â€"1962) and to trace the undiminished topicality of this poet. In addition to essays, each yearbook contains a review section, a bibliography and announcements on behalf of the Hesse Society.
