European Clinics in Obstetrics and Gynaecology is the official journal of the European Board and College of Obstetrics and Gynaecology (EBCOG). This organisation is comprised of representatives of all major European professional and scientific societies in the specialty and aims to improve the health of women and their babies by promoting the highest possible standards of care in all European countries. The journal has an important role in disseminating information relevant to the health of women in Europe. It contains relevant clinical review articles written by major European authorities. These articles will provide the basis for a Europe-wide programme of Continuing Professional Development, which EBCOG is undertaking. The journal also contains information about the activities of EBCOG and about other major European initiatives in the field of women’s health. European Clinics in Obstetrics and Gynaecology is aimed at the generalist in obstetrics and gynaecology rather than those working in subspecialist fields but it provides insights into current European clinical practice which will be of interest to all doctors involved in the health care of women.
