The ZSE Zeitschrift für Staats- und Europawissenschaften aims at analysing the performance of the public sector at the European, national, regional and local level, with special emphasis on processes of organisational reform, mutual adaptation and "institutional learning" in both EU-member and other European nation-states. The strictly peer-reviewed quarterly follows an international as well as interdisciplinary perspective, inviting analytically and empirically innovative contributions in Law, Economics, Political Science/Public Administration and History. Comments by "practitioners", i.e. representatives of politics and administration, the economy and the civil society discussing crucial issues of national as well as European developments, are welcome. The ZSE thus provides an ideal forum for policy-minded academics and analytically oriented practitioners in discussing the "modernisation of government" as well as the ongoing "Europeanisation"-process. The contributions are being published in German, English, and (occasionally) French.
