The Journal of Chittagong Medical College Teachers' Association (JCMCTA) has been launched in 1990 in response to the perceived need for a continuing forum of publication and communication of scientific experiences in a peer reviewed standard print format for the members of Chittagong Medical College Teachers Association who are serving as the faculty members of Chittagong Medical College in particular and for all medical professionals beyond the campus in general. Chittagong Medical College is the second oldest and largest public run medical institute in the country for conducting basic medical education and training since the establishment in 1957. It has also been entrusted for conducting 31 postgraduate programs as well. A medical journal is an essential complementary organ in academic and professional pursuits.
