The journal Dacoromania ser. nov. (DR s.n.) continues the following publications: "Dacoromania. Buletinul Muzeului Limbii Române" (Cluj, 1920-1948), "Cercetãri de lingvisticã" (Cluj, 1956-1993) and "Dacoromania - Jahrbuch für östliche Latinität" (Freiburg i. Br., 1973-1991). It is now published in one volume a year, consisting of two issues. The journal publishes original papers, written mainly in Romanian, but also in French, English, Italian, German, etc., in any area of linguistics, but paying special attention to those relating to Romanian linguistics. The topics cover the following branches: history of Romanian linguistics, history of Romanian language, dialectology, onomastics, grammar, phonetics-phonology, lexicology-lexicography, philology, general linguistics etc. In addition to presenting research papers, Dacoromania publishes the proceedings of national and international conferences held in Romania, survey articles, book reviews. The Editor will put strong emphasis on the originality of the papers. All manuscripts are strictly refereed and only papers of high quality are accepted for publication. The journal is addressed to all linguists and to other specialists interested in the matters of Romanian and general linguistic problems. The journal has at present a number of 150 subscriptions and about 150 exchanges with journals of repute from all over the world.
