Discontinued in 2006. The central aim of the Intervention Research is to establish a platform (and fill a gap) for organizational (culture) scholars in the field of intervention and cultural change in organizations. The journal presents papers that connect contextual developments to organizational change programs and intervention strategies to individual coping strategies, taking full account of areas of uncertainty and ambiguity. Central themes are: cultural change processes in organizations, management of meaning, (reflection on) models of intervention. In terms of empirical areas, the journal focuses on four dynamic fields in which many innovative impulses are generated: new economy and entrepreneurial companies; virtual organizational arrangements and loose-coupling systems; hybrid public-private organizations; trans-national, multicultural organizations.
