Journal Watch Pediatrics and Adolescent Medicine keeps clinicians up to date on the most important research appearing in the literature. Launched in February 2002, the publication serves a community of generalist and specialist physicians, nurses and nurse practitioners, and other healthcare professionals. Journal Watch Pediatrics and Adolescent Medicine is published biweekly on the web and ten times a year in print. Led by Dr. Bruder Stapleton, the nine-member physician Editorial Board regularly reviews 28 of the top general and specialty medical journals. In each issue they summarize 18-20 of the most important studies and provide expert commentary to put the research into perspective for practicing clinicians. Each summary is derived from close reading of the original research, careful fact-checking, and clear, concise editing. The research summaries are complemented by regular Clinical Practice Guideline Watches that highlight and summarize the most important developments in this critical area.
