Human Rights and Human Welfare
Hum Right Hum Welfare
Published/Hosted by University of Denver.
The thematic Review Essays and Book Notes review current literature dealing with major issues in the overlapping thematic areas of human rights, justice and welfare—areas that are now sometimes referred to collectively under the heading of "human security." Hence it encompasses work in a variety of disciplines including international relations, economic and social development, comparative politics, comparative political economy and political theory. In particular, HRHW offers reviews of monograph (book) and non-monograph materials (e.g., U.N. and World Bank reports, research studies, policy documents). HRHW also reviews information currently available on the internet, with a special focus on content, complexity, and ease of use. Although the editorial staff of HRHW makes every effort to offer critical assessments of the widest possible variety of human rights-related materials, we certainly cannot cover everything. If you have a suggestion for a book, report or website that you would like to see reviewed, please contact the editors.
