Primary Care Companion to the Journal of Clinical Psychiatry

ISSN: 1523-5998.

The Primary Care Companion to The Journal of Clinical Psychiatry is a peer-reviewed journal that strives to bring together knowledge in medicine and psychiatry to improve patient care. In partnership with The Association of Medicine and Psychiatry, it will accomplish this goal by offering articles of high clinical value that address neuropsychiatric problems presenting in a variety of settings familiar to those in primary care--office-based practices, emergency departments, and collaborative care milieus such as geriatric and med/psych units. In addition to original articles on such mental health topics as attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder, depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, premenstrual dysphoric disorder, and psychosis, it also offers reviews of important articles from other mental health journals, a monthly journal detailing the experiences of a young primary care practitioner, and online versions of Dr. Stephen M. Stahl's popular Journal of Clinical Psychiatry column, Brainstorms.
