Journal of Forensic Psychology Practice
J Forensic Psychol Pract

ISSN (printed): 1522-8932. ISSN (electronic): 1522-9092.

The Journal of Forensic Psychology Practice is devoted to providing a forum for disseminating timely and practical developments to the forensic psychology practitioner and professional. The journal promotes original research that examines the impact and/or effect of new knowledge in the field as it relates to the work of the practicing forensic psychologist and related specialist. The Journal of Forensic Psychology Practice presents new programs and techniques, analyzes exising policies and programs in their social context, and evaluates specific institutions and forensic procedures. Articles published in the journal demonstrate how practitioners can work more effectively, efficiently, and meaningfully with their respective client populations. Although other journals address some aspects of the material covered in this journal, there is no other single periodical with the same unique scope and focus. Each issue of the Journal of Forensic Psychology Practice will include four sections: a review of the literature covering one important aspect of forensic psychology practice, peer-reviewed articles (approximately 3-4 per issue), an update in forensic psychology practice summarizing new or topical developments in law and psychology, criminal justice, and mental health (1 or 2 per issue), a debate section featuring two prominent experts commenting on a forensic psychology practice domain where there is considerable controversy (1 or 2 per issue).
