International Journal of Construction Education and Research
J Construct Educ

ISSN: 1522-8150.

The International Journal of Construction Education and Research was begun in 2004 and is hosted by the Board of Directors of the Associated Schools of Construction (ASC). The purpose of the International Journal of Construction Education and Research (Journal) is to recognize scholarly work by preserving and disseminating research manuscripts that contribute to the understanding of issues and topics associated with construction education and the construction industry. It is the Editorial Board’s goal to publish the Journal tri-annually (spring, summer, and fall issues). The divisions of the Journal will include abstracts of articles, an editorial section, blind peer-reviewed technical papers, and book reviews. The ASC is an association currently comprised of more than 100 colleges and universities, each of which sponsors a construction education program. The International Journal of Construction Education and Research replaces the Journal of Construction Education which was founded in 1996 and was also hosted by the ASC's Board of Directors. Dr. Ken Williamson of Texas A&M University served as editor and publisher of the Journal of Construction Education for all but the final two issues. By replacing the Journal of Construction Education with the new International Journal of Construction Education and Research, it is the hosting organization's goal to attract not only manuscripts dealing with construction education and pedagogy, but also to publish high-quality research manuscripts addressing a wider range of topics related to the construction industry.
