Harrington Gay Men's Fiction Quarterly is devoted to the latest names and innovations in gay men's fiction and serves as a forum for discovering new talents. You'll get exclusive "sneak peeks" of the latest works in progress from such prominent writers as Andrew Holleran, Scott Heim, and Bernard Cooper, and new critical examinations of 'lost' gay novels. Special thematic issues of Harrington Gay Men's Fiction Quarterly will focus on fiction concerning AIDS, coming out, relationships, sexuality, religion, and family. This quarterly will be a leader in the growing genre of gay fiction and, in addition to scholarly studies and library collections, is intended for a general gay readership interested in the latest and best writing--American and international--on this subject. Each issue of the Quarterly: begins with a two-three page editor's foreword that brings the work of the issue together, contains five or six stories of a wide range of forms, lengths, and subject matter, offers a personal essay on some aspect of gay men's fiction by a prominent essayist, features a remarkable artist or photographer, critically examines a difficult-to-find novel by a gay author from the past. Harrington Gay Men's Fiction Quarterly highlights racial, cultural, and geographical diversity; rediscovers lost voices; and explores the avant garde possibilities of formal innovation, erotica, creative nonfiction, and memoir. You'll find that this journal will help you, whether a gay fiction fan or writer, to take the genre more seriously as a respectable and important addition to the available literature.
