Under the esteemed editorship of Tony Tripodi, DSW, and Miriam Potocky-Tripodi, PhD, this new journal focuses exclusively on research and evaluation studies and methodologies from an international perspective. With its international perspective, the Journal of Social Work Research and Evaluation presents substantive findings and methodological developments and issues within and between countries. It covers a broad array of topics dealing with social work and social welfare problems, practices, programs and policies. Future subjects include cultural adaptation; topics pertaining to specific countries; and global concerns such as environmental degradation, international conflict, immigration, refugees, or economic development. The first issue (Spring 2000) analyzed the status of social work research and evaluation in specific countries. This journal is crucial for administrators, scholars, educators, policy makers, and students of social work and social welfare.
