Today, Six Sigma has been well recognised in many world class organisations as an effective means of achieving and maintaining operational excellence and competitive advantage. Six Sigma has proved to be successful in many manufacturing and service organisations to drive out variability from processes, improve process effectiveness and product/service quality, reduce defect rate, enhance customer satisfaction, etc. IJSSCA publishes papers that address Six Sigma issues from the perspectives of customers, industrial engineers, business managers, management consultants, industrial statisticians and Six Sigma practitioners. IJSSCA is foremost a practical and research oriented journal. It aims to provide a communication medium for all those who are working in operations management, quality management, quality engineering and industrial engineering, whether they work in academic institutions or in industry or are engaged in consultancy. IJSSCA will also address new developments and thinking in the field of Six Sigma, new tools, techniques and methodologies in Six Sigma designed to improve business and organisational performance.
