The aim of the journal is to publish topical papers featuring practical and theoretical developments in physical methods of separation of materials. Physical Separation in Science and Engineering covers a wide range of topics in research, development and industrial applications, such as magnetic, electrical, thermal, gravity and dense medium separation, filtration and liberation. All aspects of physical separation techniques, as applied to mineral beneficiation, waste treatment, recycling and bio-medical science will be featured. Articles of strong practical emphasis as well as academically oriented communications are encouraged. The journal also publishes review papers on the current state of the technology, information on new industrial and research equipment, products and processes, book reviews, conference announcements and reports, patent abstracts and calendar of important events.
