Multimedia Information & Technology (MmIT) is the quarterly journal of the MmIT group, and is in its 37th year of publication. Each issue of the journal contains at least one full-length feature, news and technology updates, product reviews, dvd listings, moving image news and book reviews. Topics covered have included, learning systems, new media in educational technology, assistive technology in libraries, using multimedia to demonstrate the links between historical artefacts and today's products, deep web searching, innovative projection screens and social networking in public libraries. Book reviews have embraced library management, organising multimedia collections, workplace stress, web accessibility, leadership, support for distance learners, virtual reference services, organising digital collections, new technology and research methodology. Product reviews have, in the past, featured flatbed scanners and translation software, electronic whiteboards, Powerpoint, solar charging systems and mobile devices,while the Technology Roundup column ranged over reading resources, converting pdf or Powerpoint to Flash, free image sources and sending large files without email.
