Planning Theory & Practice provides a focus for the development of theory and practice in spatial planning, and encourage the development of a spatial dimension in other areas of public policy Planning Theory & Practice publishes articles covering original thought, research, review and analysis. The range of the journal will include: defining the nature of spatial planning developing the theoretical and methodological foundations of planning exploring the relationships between theory and practice, including reviews which examine emergent practices and interpret them in the light of current debates examining the contribution of planners to resolving social, economic and environmental concerns shaping practice through critical reflection and review. The Journal is international in scope, publishing relevant and appropriate articles from throughout the world. It looks at planning issues in an international and comparative perspective - examine areas of convergence and divergence - and seeks to relate theory and practice in planning.
