Rural and Remote Health, the international, electronic Journal of Rural and Remote Health education, practice and policy is an initiative of the Greater Green Triangle University Department of Rural Health, located in south-eastern Australia. The Journal's aim is to provide an easily accessible, peer-reviewed, international evidence-base to inform improvement in health service delivery and health status in rural communities. The multidisciplinary, international Editorial Board reflects the five major thematic areas of the journal: rural health practice, policy, status/research, health education and indigenous health. The Journal welcomes submissions in the form of original research; review articles; clinical case reports or reviews; policy, project or conference reports; personal views; book reviews; rural health history; letters to the editor; biographies of/tributes to/obituaries of important figures in the field of rural and remote health. Most letters to the editor are accepted in the form of discussion posted on the online Forum at the Journal site.
