Heart Lung & Circulation formerly known as The Asia Pacific Heart Journal is a peer-reviewed scientific journal covering clinical cardiology cardiac surgery and basic cardiovascular science. Heart Lung & Circulation is the official journal of the Australasian Society of Cardiac and Thoracic Surgeons and the Cardiac Society of Australia and New Zealand. Based in a region with an international reputation for the development and practice of leading edge technologies in cardiac surgery and cardiology and for excellence in clinical practice and basic cardiovascular science the Journal publishes high quality original articles reviews and editorials by experts in their fields. Now in its tenth year Heart Lung and Circulation has a particular focus on interpreting basic cardiovascular knowledge in a way comprehensible to the busy clinician. Case reports brief communications and letters to the editor provide a more informal means of sharing knowledge and experience among international readers. The Journal is proud to be afffiliated with the Association of Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgeons of Asia and the Asia Pacific Society of Cardiology.
