Experimental Biology Online - EBO Experimental Biology Online - EBO is a multimedia electronic journal sponsored by three international biological societies with a membership of over 6 000 worldwide. Its aim is to provide a medium for rapid readable refereed and rigorous short topical research papers in the general field of experimental biology in its broadest sense ranging from the molecular and cellular boundaries in cell and plant biology to the integrative study of whole organism including the experimental analysis of behaviour. All papers are submitted and refereed by peer-review electronically either via e-mail or anonymous FTP server. This usage of the Internet at every step of the reviewing and publication process leads to exceedingly short publication times of a few weeks only from submission to appearance. The journal is accessible on the World Wide Web with long-term access guaranteed. Once or twice a year a printed issue is released containing all papers published since the previous issue. Once per year a CD-ROM is included with the complete annual contents of EBO and with all multimedia features.
