Neuroembryology

ISSN (printed): 1424-8522. ISSN (electronic): 1424-8530.

The journal provides a medium for the publication of original research articles and reviews dealing with biological and medical aspects of human CNS development and all kinds of disturbances occurring during ontogenesis (laboratory and clinical work). Papers on basic mechanisms of developmental processes and their pathological alterations (e.g. malformations, brain injury or brain tumors in infants and children) are particularly encouraged. Another major aim is to provide data on the transient organization of the developing brain. Studies adding to the understanding of the developmental roots of, for instance, schizophrenia or epilepsy are also included. As a multidisciplinary audience is addressed, papers from all fields of neuroscience are considered. The journal aims at the exchange of information between clinical and basic disciplines. Studies on the adult human brain or on other species will also be considered if they are directly related to human neuroembryology or developmental neuropathology.
