"Kardiovaskuläre Medizin" appears under the leading authorship of Prof. Thomas F. Lüscher, Zurich and Prof. René Lerch, Geneva. It covers the gamut of cardiovascular medicine and is thus an optimal forum for seminars and scientific studies in the domains of cardiology, angiology, hypertension and cardiovascular surgery. In addition to pointed editorials, original clinical work, and congress reports, the journal offers notices and - from clinical practice for practitioners - "Images in Cardiovascular Medicine" with unusual findings from a variety of imaging modalities, the "interesting ECG" and a diary of courses and congresses in cardiology. "Kardiovaskuläre Medizin" is the official organ of the Swiss Assoiciation of Cardiology (Schweizerische Gesellschaft für Kardiologie), the Swiss Hypertension Association (Schweizerische Hypertonie-Gesellschaft) and the Swiss Association of Paediatric Cardiology (Schweizerische Gesellschaft für Pädiatrische Kardiologie).
