The journal is academic in scope. We are doing our best to use all the many-sided possibilities an Internet publication has. Of course, this depends on the author's wishes and our possibilities. Folklore is compiled and published by the Folklore Department of the Institute of Estonian Language and the Estonian Folklore Archives. In Folklore, researches of all genres of folklore will be published, all articles on mythology, religion and customs, paremiology, narratives, poetic folklore, ethnomusicology, etc. are welcome.
