Estudios de Antropología Biológica is a publication that is co-edited with the Asociación Mexicana de Antropología Biológica and the Instituto Nacional de Antropología e Historia, this strenghtens the bonds with other institutions in order to promote the dialogue between specialists. From the thirteenth volume, Estudios is edited in digital format and from the fourteenth volume is going to be edited one time per year. The topics approached by Estudios have opened new frontiers between different disciplines because those aren't the classic topics of physical or biological anthropology, but of the osteology, auxology or paleontology; the journal also disseminates papers that discuss aspects related to health, ecology, demography and gender issues between ancient and modern population. Other areas exposed in the journal are about aspects related to funerary practices, mortuary treatments and forensic sciences.
