The Journal of Coastal Conservation is a scientific journal for integrated research and management of the coastal zone. The emphasis will be on natural resources and their sustainable use in the context of past and future social and economic developments. The journal focuses on the European situation, but authors from outside Europe also are invited to contribute. The editors especially welcome thematic volumes and conference proceedings. The journal covers both natural and human sciences as required for a thorough understanding of the patterns and processes in coastal systems, particularly geomorphology, physical geography, hydrology, soil science, plant ecology, animal ecology, vegetation science, landscape ecology, recreation studies, urban ecology, coastal engineering and planning.
