The Journal of Water Quality and Ecosystem Modeling serves the environmental engineering and science community regarding recent developments and applications of mathematical water quality and ecosystem models for surface waters including rivers streams lakes reservoirs impoundments wetlands estuaries and coastal waters. The use of models to track the fate and transport of contaminants for water quality management is highly emphasized. Major topics in the journal include model development and model application for management field work to support the modeling effort water quality modeling for regulatory implementation and computational methods. The journal will be published four times a year. Manuscripts chronicle the exploration of key issues and potential solutions of contemporary water quality problems and articles emphasizing advances in engineering practice are particularly welcome. Submitted articles are reviewed by three referees selected by an internationally recognized editorial board.
