Coronary Health Care provides a new service to the many healthcare professionals working in the field of coronary heart disease by: raising awareness of the most common cause of morbidity and mortality in our society; promoting clinical practice based on evidence gathered from sound scientific research; disseminating the concepts of primary and secondary prevention of coronary heart disease; and providing a forum for healthcare professionals engaged in the day-to-day management and rehabilitation of patients with coronary heart disease. The journal is of interest to nurses in cardiovascular medicine and surgery units, coronary care unit staff, cardiac rehabilitation specialists (nurses and physicians), clinical psychologists, practice nurses and general practitioners, physical therapists, and dietitians - in hospitals and the community.
